Changes

OMG! This has been the longest I've gone without posting while I have big news.

I got my hair done nearly a week ago, got a nice thinned out, side-bang look. No, I didn't cut it!

The blog is under MAJOR construction - and I mean major. Right now I know it looks really crappy, and I plan to change that at the end of this month (August). I'm "hiring" a professional web designer to help me switch to my own server, which means a full, real website for me -- ON WORDPRESS! I'm so excited. I have so much to share with you guys.

Follow me on Twitter to keep up with the ever-growing and changing website!

Portland Getaway

My mom and I took a trip to Portland, Oregon this weekend.

The train ride wasn't that delayed, which it usually happens to be. They had Monsters vs. Aliens on TV, so instead mom and I listened to Owl City and ate delicious red pepper hummus and pretzel snacks. Now that's what I call amazing train food!

When we arrived at the hotel, there was a blue wine bottle sitting on the room's table, so I decided to open it. When I found it was only water, I was pissed. What. A. Rip-off!

The first day started with jet-boating on the Willamette Jet Boat Tours. It was totally incredible. The view, the ride, everything. I highly recommend it as a family fun activity. My mom and I got soaked. Not only does it splash you from ahead when you stop suddenly, the tour guide will make it fun and spin you 360. It's a bunch of craziness, mixed in with the history and landmarks of Portland, OR.

And then there was shopping. We didn't go many places, just enough to get tired out. For dinner we had Burgerville burgers and shakes. Holy crap they're good stuff. Much better than McDonalds. There will be an updated list of Portland Highlights soon.

I'm glad to get away from the chaos in my life. Even though it all is currently held online, I'm taking a break from the stress, and I enjoy it.

4th of July, Pt 1: BBQ

YUM. What else can I say?

Me and about 20 other people from around the neighborhood were stuffing our faces full of yummy food today.

I can honestly say, after Barack Obama was elected president last year, this was our first proud 4th of July. I love being American! There, I said it!

I think I'll have to hop over to the track now to burn off the 2+ pounds I just gained...

Sprinkler Fun

Sometimes when it's 90 degrees out, running through the sprinkler is your last resort.
